Follow simple steps about Keywords to boost up your rankings with Google, MSN and Yahoo!
Here is the list of things that may change your Search engine ranking positions in three Major search engines. The most of the steps from the list are valid to Google Search engine and to some extant they work for Yahoo and MSN Search engines. The four factors that boost up your rankings are Keywords, Metatags, Links and Content. So I am giving you some tips (already given by so many Experts) on keywords insertion to a web page.
Before getting into the point I will suggest you to have a set of Popular and secondary key words with you. If you don’t have get it from

Key words in URL
Keywords in URL help a lot to differentiate that what your page belongs to. You are offering SEO & SEM Services, where “SEO SEM Services” is the keyword phrase you attempt to rank well for.
Example: http://web-developers.co.in/seo_sem_services.htm
Key words in Title<tag>
Title is most important place to have keywords, because it characterize your page in short from and also the <title> tag shows as your page title in search results. The title tag should not exceed 70 characters length with your relative keywords.
Keyword Density in Page
The important point you need to check the Key word density. Major keywords can have 4% – 7 % and 1% – 2% for your minor keywords. More than 10% is suspicious and its look likes keyword stuffing.

Keywords in Anchor text
Very important, especially for the anchor text of inbound links, because if you have the keyword in the anchor text in a link from another site, this is consider as getting a link from this site not only about your site in general, but about the keyword in particular.
Insert Keywords in Headings (<H1>, <H2>, <H3> etc.)
You can place Keywords in Headings also. Your page should have relative text about the particular keywords.
Insert Keywords in <alt> tags
Use alt tags for images on your page so Search engine Spiders (Actually don’t read images) can read their textual descriptions in the <alt> tag. If you have images on your page, fill in the <alt> tag with some keywords about them.
Insert Keywords in Metatags
These tags for Yahoo! and MSN SE but not for Google, because Yahoo and MSN still rely on them, so you need to have these tags for optimizing Yahoo! and MSN.
Use Keyword phrases
In addition to keywords, you can optimize for keyword phrases (Two or more keywords combined to form a search query). So you can get a lot of exact matches of the search string but sometimes it makes sense to optimize for 2 or 3 separate keywords (“SEO” and “services”) than for one phrase that might occasionally get an exact match.
Use Secondary keywords
Everyone is optimizing for the most popular keywords, so there will be less competition in optimizing secondary keywords. If you are offering (Beauty Spa) services to particular area you can (Beauty Spa in Hyderabad) get considerably better targeted traffic
Spelling error in Keywords
Spelling errors are very common. These also get you some littlie traffic but having spelling mistakes on your page does not make a good sense. So don’t do it on your page, you can do it only in the Metatags.
You can get a little traffic to your site by following below steps.
Use Keywords in the Content also useful to get little traffic to your site
Use Keyword stemming for other languages sites to rank well.
Use Synonyms of the target keywords for English language sites to get little traffic.
You may loss your traffic by doing below steps:
Don’t do Keyword Dilution. Optimizing for an excessive amount of keywords (unrelated to web page), this will affect the performance of all your keywords and even the major ones will be lost (diluted) in the text.
Don’t do Keyword stuffing. One or more keywords are overly repeated (Keyword density 10% and over) within Meta tags and Page content. This is considered spam and the website may be banned by search engines.
